Here is why: Buildium is the best fit for self-managed HOAs in the 25–250 unit range. It is powerful enough to automate dues, late fees, and financial reporting, but simple enough that volunteer boards can actually use it without a full-time manager.
What about AppFolio, CINC, or Enumerate?
We do not work with them. AppFolio is built for large professionally-managed communities (500+ units) and is overkill — and overpriced — for the HOAs we serve. CINC and Enumerate are solid platforms, but we are not experts in them. We would rather be honest than pretend.
If you are on another platform: We will tell you upfront if we can help. Often, the best answer is migrating to Buildium. If that is not right for you, we will say so — no hard feelings.
